In the next three weeks we can expect 10-12 other contenders to try to do likewise, starting with the Yankees, who need to find a productive righthanded bat (there ain’t any coming right away in the farm system). There are a half-dozen available, with varying pros and cons, but all can be had without sacrificing top prospects.
